Job Purpose

Responsible for maintaining daily financial and accounting records in accordance with internal procedures, good practice and statutory requirements.

Key Relationships (Internal And External)

Suppliers, Customers, Teachers, Senior Leadership and ISP Regional Team

Key Accountabilities

Finance Operations and Support

  • Preparation and review of full set of accounts.
  • Involved in the preparation of financial management reporting.
  • Process monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assisting in cash flow forecasting and management.
  • Supports budget and forecasting activities.
  • Posting General Ledger entries, ensuring financial reporting deadlines are met.
  • Review quotations for orders and services, process PO’s in line with internal procedures.
  • Processing PO’s and invoices for Capex projects.
  • Posting Supplier invoices and making payments in a timely manner.
  • Assisting Finance Manager with cost management to meet budget targets.
  • Ensure the monthly and quarterly Bank Compliance activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Manager to support overall department goals and objectives.
  • Processing quarterly VAT Returns and other tax requirements.
  • Assist Finance Manager to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
  • Handling day to day operation with other administration departments.
  • Reviewing the inventory stock to ensure the availability of student resources during the academic year.
  • Assisting the Accounts Receivable team with collections and parent communications.
  • Follow the school’s Cash Handling policy for all relevant transactions.
  • Liaising with external stakeholders, ie Auditors, Tax Consultants and other stakeholders as required.
  • Posting invoice and transactions for external sports rental companies.

Position Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Finance, Accounting)

Experience: 3+ years

Competencies

  • In-dept knowledge of accounting principles
  • Audit and Assurance
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with other functional teams
  • Microsoft Office Experience
  • Oracle Accounting Software experience
  • Strong ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality
