Main purpose of position

Currently we are looking for an Accountant in Cairo, Egypt to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Accountant you will

Main Responsibilities


  • Assist in preparing and maintaining Excel-based financial reporting files – budgets, actual and forecast and prepare monthly budget variance analysis.
  • Assist in loan compliance responsibilities.
  • Capture day-to-day transactions for SSO & SPVs on accounting software system
  • support the accounting activities and the month-end close, ensuring the appropriate application of accounting standards and company policies, and timely review and posting of journal entries and reconciliations
  • Maintain fixed assets register
  • Maintain supplier reconciliations
  • Support year-end audited financial statements preparation for the Projects assigned
  • Preparation of well-supported account reconciliations to ensure integrity of account balances
  • Coordinate payments and payment process
  • Ensure timely approval/authorizations of invoices



Qualifications And Competencies


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 1-3 years relevant financial experience
  • Good understanding and use of IFRS, Egyptian standers & GAAP including experience in complex accounting issues and application of accounting principles
  • Proven capabilities supporting accounting activities with multiple ERPs
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken is a must, Fluent in French is a preferred as well

we also expect


  • Prepare VAT return and WHT return , compute annual and semi-annual income tax and ensure all taxes are paid and submitted timely
  • Prepare weekly batch of authorized payments
  • Load payments to banking system
  • Inform procurement agent payment has been closed out
  • Report exceptions on processes to Senior Accountant and Financial Controller
  • Control Cash Custody and Expense claims settlement
