Plan both short- and long-term to align supply and demand to support inventory needs
Project forward-looking inventory positions
Facilitate collaboration meetings with stakeholders and vendors to review purchase forecasts, proposed orders, and other operational issues
Monitor weekly and monthly order pipeline, prioritizing work orders
Review supplies to ensure quality, monitor stock levels and maintain accessibility to information
Build relationships with transportation, warehouse supervisors, and co-workers to achieve higher performance
Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance to terms of contracts
Tracking the company’s current inventory
Analyzing available data from demand planning, inventory reports and other resources
Recommending changes to the way the company handles inventory
Anticipating factors that might influence demand, such as seasonal slowdowns or upcoming promotions
Managing the storage of inventory and materials
Maintaining enough inventory to meet demands without overstocking
Collaborating with operations, production and other supply chain department team members
Negotiating with vendors and suppliers
Coordinating with Sales team for export shipment
Managing Export documentation for International sales
Manaing and coordinating with Freight Forwarders for export Shipment

Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree is required for a Supply Chain Planner position. Some of the most common majors for the role are:
Business Administration/ Supply Chain Management
Strong understanding of the supply chain process
Problem-solving and analytical skills
Knowledge about Import/Export documentation
Strong communication skills to interact with vendors, suppliers, customers and other supply chain team members
Attention to detail and ability to focus on numbers for long periods
Ability to count inventory and sometimes move heavy objects while monitoring and managing the current inventory
