Overview of the role:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods. By effectively managing inventory, logistics, and personnel, the Warehouse Manager plays a pivotal role in minimizing costs and maintaining high standards of quality and safety within the warehouse environment. What you will do:

Responsible for:

Team Management:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Adopt a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, set clear expectations, and provide regular feedback to ensure productivity and accountability.

Inventory Management:

  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels, minimize carrying costs, and prevent stockouts or overages.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and procurement teams to ensure timely replenishment of inventory and maintain accurate records of stock movements.
  • Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to maximize efficiency and minimize transportation costs.
  • Oversee the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and proper handling procedures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to optimize the delivery schedules and track inventory in real-time.

Warehouse Operations:

  • Develop and implement best practices for warehouse layout, organization, and workflow to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment, adhering to health and safety standards and regulations.
  • Monitor equipment maintenance and repair needs, and coordinate with maintenance staff to address issues promptly.
  • Ensure efficient optimization of warehouse space in bin levels and bulk areas.

Performance Analysis and Reporting:

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy, stacking, and on-time delivery, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Generate regular reports on warehouse activities, performance metrics, and inventory levels for management review.
  • Analyze data trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain the integrity of stored goods and minimize product damage or loss.
  • Conduct periodic safety training sessions and inspections to promote a culture of safety awareness among warehouse staff.

Required skills to be successful:

Job-Specific Skills:

  • Computer Literacy and especially in MS office.
  • Writing skills and conversational ability in English
  • Familiar with warehouse best practices and policies and procedures implementation.
  • Very good experience in warehouse management and SAP or Equivalent ERP

Behavioural Competencies:

  • Possesses effective communication and analytical skills.
  • Open minded and strong aptitude to work in site environment.
  • Accurate, superior written/oral communication and documentation skills.
  • Good knowledge of occupational hazards.

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

Bachelor’s degree

Minimum Experience:

8-12 Years ’ experience in Warehouse management in Engineering MEP companies and vast knowledge of MEP/Civil construction materials.
