Job Purpose

Designs, develops, and tests electrical components, equipment, and systems across a variety of industries. And works closely with cross-functional teams to identify requirements, develop innovative solutions, and ensure the optimal performance, safety, and efficiency of electrical systems

Technical Accountabilities

Electrical Drawings & Specifications

• Designs, maintains, implements, and improves electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems for industrial, commercial, or domestic purposes.
• Coordinates with projects manager, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects.
• Ensures that installation and operations conform to standards, customer, and management requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps.
• Establishes construction, manufacturing or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations to complete the project.
  
  

Compliance & Safety

• Ensures compliance with specifications, codes, or management, customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support or testing activities.
• Writes reports and compiles data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies to be ready with the requirements.
• Supervises and trains project team members and leads technicians for efficient productivity.
• Analyzes electrical systems and circuits to ensure optimal performance, safety, and efficiency
  
  

Electrical Material Handling

• Prepares specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials to be ready for installation.
• Estimates material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation
• Identifies and troubleshoots electrical issues and develops solutions to solve them.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (KSA's)

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field
• (5-7) years of experience as an electrical engineer or in a similar role
• Proficient in electrical design software
• Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and instrumentation
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
