Category Sourcing Supervisor - Industrial Sales

We are seeking an experienced Sourcing Category Supervisor in Cairo to lead our strategic sourcing operations, focusing on direct procurement from OEMs and direct manufacturers,

This role is critical in driving our business strategy, where sourcing is directly linked to sales success.

You will be pivotal in managing our bidding team to secure sales through strategic sourcing initiatives and ensuring we win bids that convert into profitable contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans from International OEMs and manufacturers only (Not from Traders Or Local), focusing exclusively on direct procurement for capital equipment related to industrial plants.
• Manage sourcing within 2:3 working days for every RFP/RFQ & Have Best Proposal
• Lead and manage a team responsible for the entire bid process, from sourcing to winning bids and securing purchase orders.
• Collaborate with sales, and technical teams to align sourcing strategies with market demands and sales objectives.
• Conduct market analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and leverage opportunities for competitive advantage.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and continuous improvement in terms of cost, quality, and delivery.
• Oversee the negotiation of contracts and agreements with a focus on optimizing cost and securing favorable terms.
• Ensure adherence to all industry-specific regulatory and compliance requirements during the sourcing process
  
  

RequirementsQualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in category management and strategic sourcing, specifically within the industrial sectors such as petrochemical, mining, power generation, or oil refineries.
• Proven track record of managing sourcing teams that directly contribute to sales through strategic bidding processes.
• Extensive experience with sourcing of spare parts and capital equipment for industrial plants.
• Strong understanding of the OEM landscape and direct manufacturing sources.
• Excellent negotiation, leadership, and team management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions and lead through influence
