IT Network and Security Administrator

Your Role:

IT Network Lead in Electrolux Egypt is one of the most crucial IT roles. He is in charge of overseeing, maintaining, protecting, and upgrading the internal network of all the sites including Offices, Factories, Warehouses and retail stores all over Egypt.

A Typical Day:

• The ideal profile will be able to deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor all active network equipment to ensure smooth network operation.
• Prepare POC (Proof of Concept) documents and presentation includes orientation on the products or services to be implemented.
• Explain product\service features and what distinguishes it from other vendors.
• Implement systems configuration according to the organization requirements and prepare LLD for new and existing solutions and devices.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for incidents and outages, ensure secure and stable connectivity of devices in a network environment.
• Follow-up problems and incidents relevant to NW & security to ensure it is resolved or escalate to higher level, when necessary, in accordance with work producers, and make sure that the services provided are restored within the agreed SLAs.
• Work closely with other team members and other teams in IT as part of projects that need network/security/hardware installation and configuration.
• provide high quality technical support to end users to resolve NW and Security issues to Ensure customer satisfaction and NW infrastructure functionality.
• Provide high-quality technical support on prem or in the office via telephone, e-mail, or web, through documentation preparation and deep knowledge of existing technical systems.
• Review relevant ITSM system “service now” to complete assigned tasks and update projects documentation in a timely manner.
• Prepare report for on-going projects, maintenance contracts, and support calls.
• Running diagnostic tests and performing repairs, as well as developing backup, archiving, and data retrieval procedures for NW & security devices.
• Provides on-the-job training to IT OSS staff members on any new NW Technology.
• Investigates validity of all reported security violations (checks appropriate logs; try to duplicate the security violations).
• Proactively seek changes or upgrades that can improve the network in a way that adds to the business’s productivity, with minimum disruption to the business including rolling out updates and upgrades.
• Assess the company’s need for any NW or Security technology and make appropriate recommendations for purchases and upgrades.
• Records and maintains network security hardware and software inventories.
• Maintains network security logs and documents network related policies and procedures including NW security.
• Document the existing network solutions and topology and update them with any change, both for end user guidance and for support & competence development use.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding the information being processed, stored or accessed, and ensures compliance of IT network and security Policies.
• Ensure service integrity with our ISP through Managing both data and internet leased lines, maintain ADSL sites and microwave connected sites as well.
• Support the global team in initial configuration for security devices such as firewall, IDS, Reverse Proxy, VPN, etc... And provides fault resolution and escalation.
• Hands-on experience in networking, routing, and switching.
• Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of network infrastructure.

Following certificates and knowledge are expected:

• Certified CompTIA, or Cisco (CCNP mandatory or CCIE) Routing and Switching.
• Having an entry level certificate in networking like CCNA, CCNA security, are a must and CCNP routing and switching, & security is highly preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of network connectivity, technologies (example: MPLS, SD-WAN, VPN over internet, ...), protocols (example: IP, BGP, OSPF, GRE, IPSEC …), and security (DMZ implementation, Multifactor/AAA/ISE authentication).
• Managing CISCO, Juniper, Bluecoat and Checkpoint.
• Good knowledge of VMware/Hyper-V environment Connectivity.
• Aastra VOIP Solution, Avaya, Cisco video conference solution, Bluecoat proxy and AV, Checkpoint (Juniper SRX550 and Bluecoat ProxySG 810), Cisco SAN Switch.
• Maintain DHCP services using different platforms like Cisco/Juniper routers & Microsoft.
• Hands on experience in Configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting many vendors routers & switches (static and dynamic routing protocols and filters, Vlans, Clustering and Virtual Chassis, L2 & L3 Routing and policies, Firewall Policies, Natting, Clustering and HA, Zones and UTM).
• Hands on wireless solutions (Ubnt Nano stations, Cisco, D-link, etc).
• Good knowledge of using MRTG and other network tools.

EDUCATION:

• BSc degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field is a must.
  
  

EXPERIENCE:

• From 5 to 7 years Proven experience in a network administration role.
• Availability to perform network repairs outside of business hours.
• Experience in IT/ OT solutions.
• Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, SAN Switches, Core Switches, Wireless controllers troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired.
• Great organizational and time management skills.
• Great at organizing, prioritizing, and multitasking abilities.

• Proven capacity to configure the market leading network devices and quickly learn new ones.

You will be working in mainly at Nasr City with regular visits at New Cairo & 10th of Ramadan on regular working hours and may be required to travel domestically.
