Job Details

a COO with at least 10 years’ experience in a senior operational management role, with a proven track-record of managing operations in a multi-subsidiary organization, preferably within diverse industry sectors. Experience in management consulting, with a focus on operational strategy, process optimization, and organizational development would be an advantage. Our client is an established organization, and they offer good benefits. Description:


  • Collaborate with the Group CEO and executive team to develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s vision, mission, and overall business objectives
  • Oversee the daily operations of our client and its subsidiaries, ensuring efficient and effective management of resources
  • Identify and implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and profitability across all subsidiaries
  • Coordinate with the GMs of each subsidiary to ensure alignment with the holding company’s strategic goals
  • Provide support and guidance to subsidiary GMs, helping them achieve their performance targets and operational goals
  • Establish metrics and operating KPIs to monitor the performance of subsidiaries, and report findings to the Group CEO and Board of Directors
  • Implement cost-control measures to optimize operational efficiency and profitability
  • Work closely with the HR Director to ensure the recruitment, development, and retention of high-performing operational teams
  • Ensure that all operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Identify operational risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Maintain open and effective communication with the Group CEO and subsidiary leadership
  • Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance to the Group CEO and Board of Directors


Criteria:


  • 10+ years of experience in senior operational management role, someone currently working as a COO would have an added advantage
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, management, or a related field
  • MBA and/or Project Management would be an advantage
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
  • Excellent strategic planning and execution skills
  • Skilled at influencing others, gaining buy-in, and driving change across diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Prioritizes the needs and satisfaction of customers, ensuring that operations align with delivering value to customers
  • Solid understanding of financial management, budgeting, and cost control
  • Sound judgement in balancing risks and opportunities to make the best decisions for the organization
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and positive attitude
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in consultancy-based problem-solving approaches. Evaluate complex situations, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to conduct detailed market assessment, competitive analysis, market entry strategies, gap analysis, and business planning
  • Excellent strategic thinking and planning abilities, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful growth and value creation strategies
  • Excellent analytical and observational skills
  • Passion for personal and team development
  • High ethical standards, building trust within and outside the organization
  • Must have a valid UAE driving license
  • Must currently reside in the UAE
