Procurement Officer
Location: Abu Dhabi
Availability: Immediate.
Job Description.
- Responsible to screen, and recommend suppliers and services needed to meet projects requirements. Responsible for evaluating suppliers, products, and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that approved purchases are cost-efficient and of high quality. Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment's, Construction materials, services, and supplies. Following and enforcing the company's procurement policies and procedures. Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased. Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records. Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc. Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts. Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers. Coordinate with site Project Engineers to ensure timely delivery of required materials of site/projects. Monitor the level of dormant stock, advance payments to vendors, check performance bonds, Contractual terms, scope of work, warranties and guarantees to mitigate risk.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as Procurement officer in civil and roads Infrastructure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Good analytical and strategic thinking skills. Supervisory and management experience.
