Commercial Accounting Senior Accountant

What You’ll Do

Role purpose: the candidate for this role is meant to account, review & control for Integrated Solutions Contracts, which requires special accounting treatment that need thorough study on a deal to deal basis. Integrate and combine a variety of products and services to the customer in one contract (i.e; Cloud & Security, Licensing, Hardware, Software, etc.). Ensure that controls implemented are consistent with SOX compliance requirements.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• Having adequate knowledge for Vodafone Products and Services
• Monthly calculation for period revenue recognized
• Monthly reconciliation between BO/BI reports and KE24 reports
• Responsible for monthly fees invoicing & related collection
• Fulfilling of Vodacom requirements on a timely manner and benchmarking against Vodacom practices
• Put & implement a plan to automate / digitize the new line of integrated solution services as part of Enterprise revenue one click project
• Design reporting requirements for Integrated Solutions Contracts
• Dealing with several stakeholders ( Decision Support, Cash Colleciton, Taxation, etc.)
• Maintaining good control on AR accounts with justification for variances
• Quarterly evaluate the accuracy of the allowance for bad debt aging percentage (IFRS9)
• Monthly record the bad debt expense for expected uncollectible account receivables based on estimated percentages calculated
• Meet monthly closing deadlines
• Accuracy and integrity of Balance Sheet reconciliations & meeting group requirements for BSR
• Manage internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
• Identify and mitigate financial risks within the profile
• Provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions and growth initiatives
• Ensure that controls implemented are consistent with SOX compliance requirements
