About the role:

Location: Sharjah, UAE

Hours: Permanent - 38 hours per week

Due to continued growth in our FZE Division, we have a requirement for a Driver/Logistics Assistant to join our team in Sharjah, UAE.

As an integral member of the team, this person’s primary responsibility in this role is to safely transport personnel and goods to designated locations while assisting with various logistics tasks as needed. The ideal candidate should possess excellent driving skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to efficiently manage time and resources.

About the team:

As a part of Motive FZE, you’ll be a key member of a close-knit, hardworking, and skilled team: one that is used to working to a high standard and specification. You will be supported by Abdul, our FZE Office Manager, whose goal, much like your own, is to ensure our projects are supported and able to run as smoothly as possible, and that the team are looked after, working well and have the tools they need to carry out their roles & responsibilities effectively.

You will also be working alongside a committed and proud Motive team – in the UK and globally – that want to play their part in the growth of the business and support each other daily to create a positive, values driven and hard-working professional environment.

Responsibilities:

• Adopting the Motive Offshore Group People Values and ensuring their use is embedded throughout day-to-day tasks and decision making.
• Safely operate company vehicles to transport personnel and /or goods to specified destinations.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of passengers and cargo.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any maintenance issues and ensure roadworthiness.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of assigned vehicles.
• Collect and drop staff from Sharjah with a responsibility to reach office on time.
• Collection of the material from suppliers or requested parties as requested by all departments.
• Delivery of material / shipment to customers or requested parties by all departments.
• Support the logistics coordinator in documentation tasks such as preparing delivery receipts, invoices, and other relevant paperwork.
• Collect and drop guests from airport if required.
• Support procurement as and when requested by operations.
• Communicate with SAIF Zone operations for Crane, forklift or labour requirement.
• Take company vehicles for service and test on time when it is due.
• HSEQ – compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, and the company’s management system.
• Develop strong working relations with key stake-holders – clients, colleagues etc.
• To be a positive ambassador for Motive Offshore Group Ltd.

Required skills / knowledge:

• Valid Manual UAE driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Sufficient driving experience in UAE With UAE road / route knowledge.
• Should possess excellent driving skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to efficiently manage time and resources.
• Working Knowledge of Microsoft office and email communication.
• Knowledge of SAIFZONE / Sharjah customs clearance is an added advantage.
• Self-motivated.
• Ability to organise time effectively and prioritise workload, as required.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills in English with ability to read and write.
• Willingness to understand and learn the Motive Offshore Group processes & procedures.
