Staff Software Engineer, Autonomy

Summary:

As an Autonomy Staff Software Engineer, you will develop and deploy high-performance software that is responsible for operating our autonomous feed truck that delivers feed to cattle. You will help steer and execute the technical strategy for our perception, planning, and control stacks. You will help lead and will collaborate closely with our engineering team to ensure safe, reliable, and repeatable operation of our autonomy stack in the real world.

Candidates must be Fluent in English, and have a minimum of 5 years experience directly in Autonomous Driving or Mobile Robotics.

Start date for this position would be on or around August 1st.

In this role, you will:

· Collaborate with and help lead other members of the autonomy team to develop and deploy the algorithms that power our autonomy stack

· Serve as a technical expert for the team on at least one area related to autonomy or machine learning, with a particular focus on computer vision, state estimate, prediction, optimization, etc.

· Research and develop state-of-the-art deep learning/machine learning models to improve our perception solutions under challenging and diverse scenarios.

· Design, prototype, and evaluate machine learning algorithms and architectures for detection of environmental actors and semantic understanding of various environmental scenes.
