About the role:

We are looking for an IT Support Specialist who is responsible for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of an organization's IT infrastructure. This includes providing technical support to users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing network systems, and ensuring data security and controls are always implemented.


What you will do:

  • Provide technical assistance and support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues. This may include troubleshooting problems, installing updates, and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of computer systems, servers, and network equipment. This may involve updating software, applying patches, and optimizing system performance.
  • Managing the office productivity and collaboration tool, must have expertise on Google and Microsoft solutions, Logitech video conferencing solutions and should upkeep the routing maintenance and management of all access control, screens and IT systems.
  • Manage and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues as needed.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization's data from unauthorized access, malware, and other cyber threats. This may involve installing antivirus software, configuring firewalls, conducting security audits, installing DLP and other cyber security software’s.
  • Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure the integrity and availability of critical data in the event of system failures or disasters. Ensure that we always have cent percent compliance to all the controls.
  • Keep accurate records of IT assets, configurations, and procedures. Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and best practices for future reference.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on how to use IT systems effectively and securely. Educate employees about IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Develop IT service management software for the management of tickets raised by people requesting for support, conduct periodic review with the line manager and agree on the KPI’s to improve the services.
  • Stay informed about new technologies and trends in the IT industry. Evaluate and recommend hardware, software, and tools that could improve the organization's IT infrastructure and operations.
  • Time management is a critical requirement to ensure that requests coming from people are met with highest priority, to achieve this the person must be available during standard working hours, i.e. 9am to 6pm as a minimum requirement.
  • The selected candidate must have technical expertise to administer and manage technical solutions such as;
  • Management of Onelogin Access management software
  • Management of Zero trust VPN solutions
  • Administration of web and email filtering solutions
  • Management of Google workspace and Microsoft 365 features
  • Logitech video conferencing solution
  • Setting up, installing patches, firmware updates on windows and Macbook laptops
  • Installing and configuring Windows or thirdparty backup software
  • Implementing data loss prevention systems and MDM
  • Manage engine remote administration tool
  • Unified login and identity solutions.
  • Setting up data and shared drive access controls
  • Setting up third party software and tools from Google workspace and Microsoft 365
  • Knowledge of setting up and administering project in Jira.


What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT specialist or similar role.
  • Strong technical skills in hardware, software, networking, and security.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+) maybe an added value.
