Envision Employment Solutions is currently looking to hire an Information Systems Director for one of our partners, a leading Insurance Brokerage in Egypt.

Summary:

As the IS Director - Information Systems, the role involves playing a pivotal part in driving the company's Insurance digital transformation agenda. Responsibilities include overseeing the integration, optimization, and management of various digital systems, such as Salesforce, HR systems, ERP systems, and digital applications. The primary focus will be on enhancing customer relationship management (CRM) and other digital product capabilities while ensuring the efficiency and security of IT infrastructure. 

Responsibilities:

Standardization & Enhancement:

  1. Act as Project Manager for the existing initiative aimed at stabilizing and improving current enterprise system performance across the organization. 
  2. Work closely with business area owners, consultants, and third-party vendors to plan, deliver, and monitor system deliverables, new project phases, and enhancement requests. 
  3. Lead the integration and optimization of Salesforce as the primary platform for contract and customer data management. 
  4. Define proper system governance processes that define clear roles and responsibilities for IT, business personnel, and third-party vendors. 
  5. Manage relationships with external partners and vendors involved in IT infrastructure delivery and support. 
  6. Continuously identify areas of improvement across existing system landscape through periodic reviews with business owners and system contacts. 
  7. Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the IT function, exploring emerging technologies and trends. 
  8. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of IT systems and processes. 

Strategy & Planning:

  1. Lead IT Department operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, planning projects, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources. 
  2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize IT needs, ensuring alignment with business goals. 
  3. Lead strategic governance of system dependencies and integration points to ensure seamless interoperability across all digital systems. 
  4. Structuring the IT Department in a manner that is scalable and in alignment with the existing complex IT operation in addition to the group’s strategic objectives and vision for digital transformation. 
  5. Provide strategic guidance on the selection, implementation, and maintenance of digital solutions, including CRM, HR, ERP systems, and customer-facing applications. 

Acquisition & Deployment:

  1. Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems. 
  2. Manage financial aspects of the IT Department, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review. 
  3. Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives. 
  4. Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision. 
  5. Develop requests for proposal. 
  6. Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements. 

Operational Management:

  1. Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, software, and peripherals. This may include operation through local IT team or through third-party vendors with clear contracts and service level agreements. 
  2. Ensure the security and compliance of IT systems and data, implementing best practices and protocols. 
  3. Provide the business end users with the needed training and second level support on all information systems. 
  4. Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations. 
  5. Direct research on potential technology solutions in support of procurement efforts. 
  6. Keep current with the latest technologies. 
  7. Approve and oversee projects and project portfolio. 
  8. Establish IT department structure & staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions. 
  9. Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.

  • Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or Business administration. 
  • Minimum Experience: 8 years of experience in IT and/or business analysis and project management. 

Job specific Skills: 

  • Proven track record of successfully implementing and optimizing CRM systems, preferably Salesforce. 
  • Experience working in customer-facing organizations, such as insurance, banking, or retail, is highly desirable. 
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams. 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interface effectively with senior leadership and external partners. 
  • Strategic thinker with a forward-thinking approach to technology and business innovation. 
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and drive results in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices, compliance requirements, and data protection regulations. 
  • Knowledge of various office productivity software programs such as word processing, databases, spreadsheet programs, and communications software.
  • Familiarity with various computer peripherals such as printers, monitors, modems and other equipment. 
  • General knowledge of business processes and their interrelationship gained through three or more years of related experience. 

Preferred Experiences:
