A leading network and digital integrator with a unique history as a telco operator and now an IT services company working in the digital transformation businesses worldwide is looking to hire a very strong "Senior Data Scientist" to join their team in Egypt.

As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in supporting our company's vision by providing valuable insights through the analysis of our data. Using large data sets, you will uncover opportunities to optimize our products and processes. You will also use various data mining and analysis methods, along with different data tools, to build and implement models. Additionally, you will create and run simulations, and develop and use algorithms. Importantly, you will utilize your data-based insights to drive business results, collaborating with various stakeholders and functional teams to find solutions buried within our extensive data sets. Your strong business acumen, along with your ability to effectively communicate findings to both business and IT leaders, will greatly influence how our organization tackles business challenges.

Work closely with your business to identify issues and use data to propose solutions for effective decision making and drive business insights
Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies
Maintain clear and coherent communication, both verbal and written, to understand data needs and report results
Use machine learning tools and statistical techniques to produce solutions to problems
Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
Use predictive modelling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes
Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets
Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyse model performance and data accuracy
Present information using data visualization techniques
Horizon scan to stay up to date with latest technology, techniques and methods
Conduct research from which you'll develop prototypes and proof of concepts
Look for opportunities to use insights/datasets/code/models across other functions in the organization
Stay curious and enthusiastic about using algorithms to solve problems and enthuse others to see the benefit of your work

متطلبات الوظيفة

Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and raw insights from large data sets
Experience in (or a willingness to get to grips with) database interrogation and analysis tools, such as Hadoop, SQL and SAS.
Business and financial orientation
Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English language
Expert in MS office suite
Having strong quantitative skills is a good base, but an interest in data and being able to solve problems logically and methodically are often bigger factors
Exceptional communication skills, in order to explain your work to people who don't understand the mechanics behind data analysis
Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision treelearning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks
