Job Brief

One of our prestigious clients is looking for a dedicated Civil/Structural Design Engineer to join the team in the Technical Support Division. The division offers specialized engineering and technical expertise to maximize profitability while upholding the highest safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify civil/structural engineering drawings, calculations, plans, layouts, and designs.
• Develop project specifications, proposals, and cost estimates.
• Conduct independent work, using judgment to evaluate, select, and apply engineering solutions.
• Prepare full-fledged engineering design packages for onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities.
• Perform structural design and produce construction documents for hydrocarbon facilities.
• Identify design requirements and conduct necessary calculations using STAADPro or equivalent software.
• Assess and repair deteriorated concrete, prepare technical reports, and verify 'As-Built' drawings.
• Develop layout plans and structural details for draftsmen and designers.
• Prepare detailed scopes of work, material take-offs, and cost estimates.
• Conduct field activities such as site surveys and verify measurements.
• Participate in project walkthroughs and provide comprehensive reports.
• Mentor and transfer knowledge to entry-level engineers and designers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering design for reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, and wood structures.
• Extensive experience with US Design Codes and Standards (ASCE, ACI, AISC, UBC).
• Basic architectural knowledge for building redesigns and remodelling.
• Proficiency in STAADPro software and working knowledge of Microstation or other drafting software.
• Strong technical and engineering design skills in a design office environment.
• Professional Engineering Registration/License from the US/CA is a plus.
• Physically fit to visit offshore sites by helicopter or boat, with no physical or medical restrictions.
