Sourcing & Business Development Manager
As a Sourcing and Business Development Manager, this role is responsible for
developing the export portfolio for the R&P (Raw Materials and Packaging) and Feed categories. This involves sourcing materials and identifying potential clients to sell these materials, with the ultimate goal of achieving maximum profitability and ensuring a consistent source of foreign currency. You’ll play a crucial role in building strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and strategically expanding the company’s market presence.
About The Job
As a Sourcing & Business Development Manager, you will be doing the following activities
- Responsible for managing the Export portfolio of Raw, Pack, and Feed materials, which encompasses developing the Client Portfolio by establishing new accounts and securing a new distributor.
- Comply to Procurement Sourcing process and global procurement policies.
- Source for reliable suppliers
- Negotiate prices with supplier and select the best-in-class supplier offering the best quality and lowest price
- Do reference checks on supplier capabilities and financials before final selection.
- Manage Contracts between supplier, Danone and Client
- Ensures quality requirements are met
- Manages the Supplier Performance Evaluation with suppliers
- Developing sales volume including regional and international customer base.
- Candidate will be the main point of contact for Export through Egypt.
- Makes decisions to manage the complexity of the regions (Asia/Africa/Europe) in the most efficient manner.
- Identify export bottlenecks and formulate an action plan to mitigate them.
- Calculates the Profitability per project targeting to have zero hit on the business.
- Acts as a trader between suppliers and clients
- Develop Export roadmap per category.
- Be the focal point of contact between Danone Egypt, Dantrade, other Danone CBUS to manage the export agenda.
- Stays well-informed of Egypt Export market and analyze current export category portfolio
- Monitors and controls on a regular basis actual sales, profitability and costs as well as collections that need to be made and engages in activities aimed at preventing deviation.
- Issues warnings about deviations and notifies the Line Manager.
- Monitors general operations and efficiency performance and reports these.
- Responsible for implementation of strategies and coordination of sales activities by keeping the highest level of relations with all stakeholders
- Makes market survey and collects statistical information related to Egypt Export
- Prepares the monthly export reports to conduct requested research on potential markets.
