This role is the go-to resource for successfully supporting in overseeing and implementing the Campus Hiring strategy across all Business teams and be the focal core point of contact in ensuring the Campus Hiring Strategy is scaled across the organisation.

  • Owns the entire Campus Hiring process consisting of evaluating campuses, recommendation of Campus mix vis a vis hiring roles/skillsets, screening and conducting evaluation to complete the hiring process with a key focus on hiring Quality Talent from premier campuses.

    • Lead the regional Food safety and Quality Assurance function by ensuring.
    • Food safety and Quality by design for all new innovations or productivity initiatives, while delivering the right specifications that are fit for purpose and consumer relevant.
    • This role will need to create culture and establish comprehensive and sustainable Food safety and quality programs that drive capability and quality throughout the supply chain.
    • To create, implement and monitor necessary quality and food safety metrics in order to provide needed oversight and governance.
    • Managing suppliers for Pepsico Manufacturing locations for all categories across MENA BU for existing products and new suppliers’ approvals for Innovation, BCP and Productivity initiatives. SPM initiatives for existing suppliers.
    • Support the PEP+ agenda i.e. sugar reduction, sodium reduction, healthy oil strategy, rpet etc.
    • Supporting expansions and mergers through integration, deployment and qualification of new avenues i.e. new 3rd party manufacturers.
    • Support digital enhancement to improve efficiency for AMESA i.e. SONAR.
    • Support the business continuity plans through a risk based approach by conducting risk assessments and providing mitigations to avoid cost and sustain production i.e. variances and concession. new material qualification etc.

    Responsibilities

    • Drive FSQA programs in the Egypt and North Africa region PO1 to effectively deliver the aligned AOP Agenda and Long term strategic initiatives.
    • Effectively support the regional product and package innovation agenda by ensuring standards and process are adhered to during the innovation process, delivering “quality and food safety by design"
    • Participate in local innovation councils/stage gate ensuring quality and food safety guardrails have been addressed in the stage gate process.
    • For complex innovations, provide needed technical support at plant level to ensure start-up readiness and develop quality system and testing protocols/methods which should be applied for new product introductions.
    • Provide needed oversight and governance by ensuring our quality and food safety standards and protocols are effectively implemented in the manufacturing facilities, and that they are maintained across the supply chain to ensure our products are safe, legal, and meet consumer-defined design across our total portfolio of products.
    • Effectively collaborate with regional Quality Control (SC) to jointly develop Quality and Food Safety objectives and targets that deliver on our promise to provide consumers with safe and wholesome products of outstanding quality, consistency, and value.
    • Harmonize the quality management programs including testing methods across the region, as needed.
    • Provide needed oversight and governance of established quality systems, managing the issuance of variances to specifications and standards, ensuring needed corrective actions to non-compliances in quality and food safety audits have been implemented, and that the systems and processes that are in place are being adhered to by product developers and SC (QC).
    • Provide technical support in the assessment of new contract manufacturing sites, performing needed capability assessment for new manufacturing platforms, and ensuring appropriate design quality and food safety principles have been implemented.
    • Approve new suppliers to support Innovation, Productivity and Strategic Supplier agenda.
    • Management of existing suppliers and ensuring compliance to Global Standards.
    • Advocate execution of global programs and drive role of Quality connector to Business Unit and Global.

    Qualifications

    • At least a bachelor’s degree in science or engineering with a strong understanding of beverage and food manufacturing. Master’s degree would be preferred, however is not a limitation.
    • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Food safety, Quality Assurance, Quality Control (and/or related experience with a proven track record or technical role.
    • Strong orientation of PepsiCo Quality & Food safety systems & processes direct or indirect handling.
