ARCHITECTURAL DRAFTSMAN

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The purpose of the Architectural Draftsman's job is to bridge the gap between conceptual architectural designs and practical construction reality through the creation of detailed and accurate technical drawings. Their work is foundational to the successful completion of architectural projects, ensuring that designs are realized in accordance with the vision of architects and the functional requirements of clients.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop detailed architectural drawings for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to understand project requirements and translate concepts into detailed drawings.
• Prepare drawings in accordance with local regulations, codes, and standards.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all drawings and plans.
• Revise drawings as necessary based on redlines and feedback from stakeholders.
• Coordinate with other draftsmen and team members to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain drawing files and documentation for reference purposes.
  
  
  

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Architectural Draftsman in the GCC, preferably in the UAE.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software.
• Strong understanding of architectural principles, building materials, and construction techniques.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in the UAE.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Diploma or degree in Architecture or a related field is preferred.
