Functional Testing Analyst

The Functional Testing Analyst is responsible for the planning, design, execution, and documentation of functional test cases for software applications. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that software products meet functional requirements and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Create test plans and test cases based on functional requirements and design documents.
• Perform functional testing of software applications to identify defects and ensure software functionality meets user requirements.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and quality assurance team members to ensure timely and accurate testing.
• Document and track defects using defect tracking tools.
• Conduct root cause analysis of defects and recommend solutions.
• Participate in software release activities such as release testing and support.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in functional testing.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Functional Testing Analyst or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of functional testing methodologies and tools.
• Experience in creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
