Responsibilities

Financial Reporting

  • Review Marketing contracts from financial perspective. i.e. available budget / accounting treatment.
  • Make sure to assess the risks in any new campaign in order to avoid the risks.
  • Lead A&M process for Beverages and Snacks businesses during month-end and its related month-end transactions.
  • Reconcile Marketing RFPs with related commitment balance and ensure proper accounting allocation.
  • Responsible for developing and calculating PCE A&M and D&A curve entry and provide needed data for the Curve entry& calculation
  • Reconcile Marketing accrual balances.
  • Advance payment and prepaid analysis.
  • Record and analyze prepaid amortization entry and any related entries
  • Work closely with the planning team to proactively identify actual vs. Forecast gaps and adjust them.
  • Handle any A&M related regional reports or deliverables.
  • Ensure building of all databases needed for A&M line items in order to secure proper financials & tracking.
  • Ensure the monthly submission of actual data on the Company’s system (SAP) during the process of the month end closing.
  • Managing audit requirements & queries for A&M and arranging with the concerned departments to fulfill the requirements.
  • Ensure Achieving high level of compliance for quarterly COSO testing for the A&M related controls.
  • Ensure conducting monthly meeting to validate and reconcile actual figures and expenses with marketing heads for each brand. Also reconciling those amounts vs. budget as well as BOY commitment.
  • Ensure the receiving of the A&M brand budget commitments in line with each FCST cycle and make sure that they were uploaded on SAP by line item.
  • Review & ensure the correctness of the A&M payments according to the contracts & the budget in line with the applied SOA.
  • Review all the A&M new contracts & renewals from a financial perspective and take the lead on any needed changes with Marketing & legal teams. Also provide full support to the Marketing team regarding the control POV on any of their contracts as well as its accounting treatments.
  • Managing A&M Cross charges received from the region providing the right accounting treatment for recording the required entries.
  • Lead on the Building of the Year end accruals related to the A&M.
  • Provide the Required Adhoc analysis to the top management with timelines and accuracy.
  • Secure the existence of the necessary controls in A&M areas.
  • Participate in developing new A&M processes, procedures, and mitigating controls for new business practices.

Performance Management reviews:

  • Monitor the A&M anlyst performance and ensure that all the requirements prepared and delivered on time.
  • Review and approve all A&M entries.
  • Work Closely with the Marketing managers & Marketing managers directory to support the business
  • Manage the monthly closing according to the time table.

Audit & Compliance:

  • upport both external and internal audit on costing related requests
  • Ensure business compliance with Statutory, Legal and Taxation requirements, PepsiCo corporate and local business policies & procedures, and ethical business practices
  • Performing the quarterly GCS self-testing & submissions in addition to Partner with BPO (Business process Owner) and CO (Control Owner) in GCS and Fraud & Routine risk assessment
  • Ensure timely closure of;
    • Internal audit remediation and track progress
    • Corporate audit remediation and track progress
People Performance Management:

  • People performance management & appraisals
  • People career discussion cards and development plans
  • Shifts management & resolving any conflicts or shortage through solid rotation plan

Special Projects:

  • Identify scope for process improvements and interventions from time to time to achieve process simplification / better controls / process standardization / accounting
  • Lead & partner with BIS to implement system enhancements of sales & distribution areas

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in control area and commercial activities .
  • Leadership experience and capability. Solid understanding of business levers.
  • Change management experience coupled with good analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, cross-geographically and across multiple cultures
  • Strong internal and external communicator, influencer, and negotiator.
  • Ability to set and priorities short, mid and long term objectives.
  • Bachelor of Accounting/Finance subject. Postgraduate qualification preferable.
