E-Commerce Vendor Acquisition Specialist

As the e-commerce Vendor Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for building relationships with vendors, adding selection, overseeing vendor negotiations, planning marketing promotions, and contributing to the company’s category growth rate. You should have a wealth of knowledge about a product or range and experience analysing new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

●      Scan the Market for potential Vendors and draft deals with them;

●      Lead the vendor integration process, starting from product selection, datasheet preparation, and photo shooting to final product upload;

●      Work on increasing SKUs and adding new product categories;

●      Negotiate deals and promotions on seasonal occasions with vendors to maximise sales from all assigned accounts;

●      Follow up on new products from existing vendors and lead regular stock updates;

●      Follow up on a regular basis with vendors on products that are low or out of stock;

●      Build strategic relationships with vendors;

●      Coordinate with the marketing team on seasonal promotions and discuss with vendors how to get promotional deals;

●      Analyse sales performance and consumer buying patterns;

●      Negotiate with vendors for promotions, exclusivity, price leadership and commissions;

●      Plan and forecast for the seasonal product;

●      Manage relationships and performance of top marketplace sellers;

●      Monitor competitors, market conditions, and new entrants;

●      Plan and Manage promotions and merchandising to grow business for accounts managed;

●      Solve seller issues by working with internal and external teams;

●      Monitor vendors' fulfilment, returns and product performance; Perform other duties as assigned by the team.

●      Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

●      Must have a valid driving license and a car.

●     2-4 years of experience in a similar position in the e-commerce field.

●      Excellent understanding of the e-commerce business;

●      Proficient in vendor management;

●      Good business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations; Highly computer literate, adept at Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint and highly online savvy.

●      Strong customer service and  analytical skills;

●      Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills;

●      Excellent Telephone manners;

●      Excellent attention to detail and accuracy;

●      Ability to work in a target-driven company; Hard-negotiator, a deal maker.

●      A  keen eye for spotting market trends;
