Maintenance General Manager

Job Purpose

Responsible for the maintenance of all equipment necessary for operations in the Gulf of Suez and all aspects of Operations of all the rotating equipment sites in Ras Shukier. Managing the 4 divisions under Maintenance Department: Mechanical, Turbines, Electrical and Instrumentation and Maintenance Engineering. Managing the operation of all of GUPCO�s onshore and offshore gas lift turbine facilities as well as the Power House generation turbines at Ras Shukier. Direct and guide the team for maximising maintenance and production efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintaining the equipment in a safe manner, operation of the gas compression facilities safely and efficiently, and working with the Offshore Production Division to optimize production are key objectives of the role.
• Ensure availability of equipment’s to all departments; benchmark and improve performance standards in maintenance and drive to conclusion, Maximo MMS implementation.
• Performance management of safety critical maintenance.
• Take a strong hands-on approach to operational integrity and HSE issues as required.
• Able and willing to coach Egyptian National supervisors and staff in sustaining and extending the progress made in past few years in areas of HSE, operational integrity, planning and competence.
• Set clear direction in line with our Performance Contract, work successfully with his team to execute that, and be tireless in follow-up. Sensitivity combined with hard-edged determination is needed to coach the team towards the level of disciplined operational performance we have promised.
• Responsible for setting priority for production, project and construction which are fundamental to ensuring the correct focus is given to both safety and production.
• Support upcoming developments in the activity planning process.
• Maximizing short-term production by managing the team to implement innovative methods within difficult cost and technical constraints, whilst protecting longer term production continuity, meeting HSE standards and safety and operational integrity.
