Assistant Manager - Finance Control & Reporting

As the Assistant. Manager Group Financial Reporting & Control, you will be required to support the financial accounting, financial reporting and financial control activities

On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for:

• Prepare Product Accounting plan, accounting papers and Accounting policies
• Finalization, review and management of the Group and subsidiaries financial statements,
• Partnering with other finance leads / teams in terms of all accounting aspects, external reporting and tax related aspects,
• Group reporting to ICD and SCA,
• Reconciliations and GL controls,
• Change / maintenance of chart of accounts and partnering with Information Systems / IT team for the implementation / change / enhancements to the information systems in the Group.
• Support all financial Control and Governance activity,
• Ensuring compliance with all financial control & policy requirements in support of Group Financial Controller
  
  

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and experience:

• Bachelors Degree - Commerce background (Graduate / Post-graduate) with specialization in Accountancy. Qualified Accountant (CA, CPA, ACCA) / Semi-Qualified Accountant with relevant experience would be required to fill this position.
• Knowledge of all accounting and Financial reporting aspects.
• Good attention to detail and clear focus on controls and reconciliations Strong computer skills and prior experience of working in an ERP system (Oracle, SAP etc)
• Prior experience in financial accounting and reporting in a banking and financial services environment.
