Job Overview
The Administration and Legal Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of administrative functions while also providing legal support and guidance to the organization. This position requires a candidate with extensive experience in the UAE, a strong legal background, and proficient managerial skills.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Management
- Oversee day-to-day administrative operations, including office management, procurement, facilities maintenance, vendor management, and team task management.
- Develop and implement efficient administrative policies, procedures, and workflows to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
- Supervise administrative staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to organizational standards.
- Manage budgets and expenses related to administrative functions, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with financial policies.
Legal Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards governing the company's operations in Dubai and the UAE.
- Manage the legal team and cases.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, agreements, and legal documents, including but not limited to client contracts, vendor agreements, and leases.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to senior management on a wide range of legal matters, including corporate governance, employment law, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage legal disputes and litigation, collaborating with external legal counsel when necessary to represent the company's interests.
Liaison and Representation
- Act as a liaison and company representative to navigate and expedite handling matters related to:
- Police station
- Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MOHRE)
- Roads and Transport Authority (RTA)
- Labor Department
- Department of Economic Development (DED)
- Dubai Court
- Land Department
- Etisalat and utility-related companies
- Municipality
- Law firms
- Contracting companies
- Maintenance companies
- Supplies and general trading companies
Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of general UAE experience.
- At least 3 years in a managerial role (office manager, legal manager, admin manager, or similar positions).
- Experience managing a team of at least 5 people.
- Familiarity with UAE laws.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Language:
- Proficiency in English and Arabic.
