Position Title:          Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Position Location:      17 Qasr El Nile Street, Downtown 

Position Duration:     One year contract (renewable upon performance appraisal) 

Job Closing Date:     Open until filled

Target Start Date:    Immediately 


About the Position

The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer assists and contributes to following up and evaluating a variety of activities implemented by the different Nahdet El Mahrousa teams. The role primarily ensures the quality and timelines of implementation in accordance to the agreements in place with various project partners. 


Tasks and Responsibilities

The ideal candidate should demonstrate a keen interest in social entrepreneurship. Primarily he/she will work closely with the monitoring and evaluations (M&E) manager on tasks that include but are not limited to:


  • Generating donor-driven monitoring and evaluation as well as progress reports.
  • Following up on the logical framework of programs in coordination with the programs’ teams.
  • Data collection and data entry.
  • Assisting the M&E manager in designing and testing new data collection tools and their corresponding databases whenever necessary.
  • Conducting field visits to various sites (if applicable) to follow up and evaluate the activities of the project and ensure the quality of implementation and satisfaction of beneficiaries.
  • Proposing suggestions on how to improve projects’ activities based on collected data.
  • Handling all logistics of M&E related activities.


Qualifications

The ideal candidate is expected to have the following qualifications, experiences and skills:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or economics or any other related field.
  • 2 years of experience in the field of civil work, preferably with experience in the field of monitoring and evaluation.
  • Experience with research and analytics.
  • Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, including: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • An understanding of social entrepreneurship.
  • An understanding of program management, evaluation and monitoring.
  • Ability to deal with different backgrounds.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English.


Travel Requirements

Some travel to the governorates is required.
