As a Specialist Consultant Geriatric Medicine, you will be responsible for delivering specialized medical care to elderly patients. You will diagnose and treat various health conditions and diseases that commonly affect older adults, while developing comprehensive and personalized treatment plans to enhance their overall well-being.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough geriatric assessments, including evaluating physical and cognitive functions, assessing medication usage, and evaluating social support systems
- Diagnose and treat geriatric-specific diseases and conditions, such as dementia, osteoporosis, cardiovascular diseases, and diabetes
- Prescribe and manage medications and treatments tailored to each patient's needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care and ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and their families on preventive care, lifestyle modifications, and health maintenance strategies
- Provide guidance and support to caregivers of elderly patients
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research, advancements, and best practices in the field of geriatric medicine

- Medical degree and Board Certification in Geriatric Medicine
- Proven experience diagnosing and treating geriatric-specific diseases and conditions

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with elderly patients and their families
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and prioritization abilities
