Design and Deliver Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agenda for Egypt Commercial Unit in alignment with the sustainability efforts in its full scope by championing and executing an Annual Operating Plan (AOP) that builds the company’s ongoing commitment in becoming a more sustainable, environmentally friendly and socially responsible company in alignment with PepsiCo global strategy.
Build cross departmental sustainability projects serving the pep+ agenda
Recruit and manage relevant high-level stakeholders as NGO, civil society and governments to support/implement the sustainability agenda in Egypt while ensuring employees are participating in driving the success of these plans through volunteering activities.
Set communication strategies to promote the full sustainability agenda externally and enhance corporate reputation among the public
Expand and design regional projects serving the sustainability agenda of AMESA to enlarge impact and connect markets with a common goal
Work closely with the different countries across AMESA to identify opportunities, share learning and exchange know how
Responsibilities
Developing and managing the annual CSR and sustainability agenda in Egypt
Conduct design thinking activities to develop relevant projects and initiatives in line with sustainability efforts and national agenda
Deliver annual CSR plans and activities for Egypt BU as per the AOP and ensure sustainability of the programs.
Assess the local national needs to create/design new sustainability initiatives for PepsiCo with the goal of creating shared values within the communities we operate in
Obtain a strong understanding of PepsiCo Global/PepsiCo Foundation CSR priorities to match funds from their end in order to support local initiatives
Manage the implementation of PepsiCo Global sustainability agenda in Egypt for agriculture, water, etc..
Deliver Brand PR CSR activities through liaising with marketing teams to integrate CSR plans in their marketing plans Lead the development and execution of annual employee advocacy initiatives and creating new initiatives to engage employees in all PepsiCo locations
Set the communication strategy (external and internal) for sustainability and CSR projects
Lead the development of communication plans to promote PepsiCo’s CSR efforts externally
Support in identifying media interviews and opportunities to raise visibility on CSR initiatives with key journalists across the region.
Address direct CSR media inquiries.
Evaluate and measure PR execution with clear KPIs and metrics and report to Communications manager.
Lead the relations with PR and creative agency.
Handle the organization and execution of corporate affairs CSR events including signing ceremonies, press conferences, and media round tables.
Activate projects in nationwide campaigns
Create internal communication material for all PepsiCo external & internal initiatives to raise EVPs
Expanding PepsiCo network with key external stakeholders
Lead the identification and evaluation of NGOs and other partners for potential partnership
Recruit governments to endorse initiatives and making sure to serve the national agenda through each project
Partner with relevant events/initiatives/platforms that could support the cause
Represent PepsiCo with external partners ; oversee and build new relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective partnership
Managing and monitoring stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of projects and initiatives
Liaise and manage the partnership with PepsiCo foundation regarding the joint projects in Egypt
Monitor progress on activities and troubleshoot project crisis
Ensuring compliance with the organization’s financial, regulatory and legal commitments
Handle contracts with legal team in alignment with partners to ensure on time completion
Budget for annual expenditures of the CSR agenda.
Work in alignment with the control and compliance teams.
Lead on the Cash Donations annual reporting.
Developing and leading sector projects serving the sustainability agenda of PepsiCo
Identify sustainability initiatives and projects to be implemented across the sectors through intensive assessment of market initiatives
Identify common grounds and assess potentiality of local projects to expand regionally
work closely with sustainability and comms teams across the sector to understand market needs and existing initiatives to be able to build on them and design new ones
Engage with the different sector teams for knowledge sharing sessions and own the knowledge transfer to each market
Scout and assess new vendors and partners that have regional scope and could
Support in regional communication strategies to connect stories and create regional content
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mass communication or political science
8-10 years of experience in the CSR/Development field who exhibits a strong track record in the management of sustainability/development agenda
Strong communication, event management and public relations track-record
Previous exposure to NGOs or international organization
Master's degree is a plus
Project Management qualifications is a must
Experience of stakeholder engagement and partnership
Experience in designing and managing community projects
Good exposure to digital communications
Good understanding of national regulations, policies and development directions
Excellent MS Office Applications; MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Bilingual English and Arabic, both spoken and written
