Qualification Requirements

  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • Bsc of Engineering / Four years technical trade school or Previous similar work experience.
  • Some back ground with laundry, kitchen, electricity, …..etc.
  • Has at least 2 years’ experience in the Same position.

Job Functions

  • Implement the 10/5 Rule at all times during work hours.
  • The ability to follow proper payroll and uniform procedures.
  • The ability to perform all tasks listed in the Technical Skills section of the manual.
  • The ability to refinish furniture.
  • The ability to complete all assigned work in a safe and complete fashion.
  • The ability to use all safety precautions at all times when using tools, chemicals, ladders, or other potentially dangerous equipment or supplies.
  • The ability to complete all assigned projects in a timely manner.
  • The ability to carry out repairs to work orders or room inspection reports submitted by departments.
  • The ability to ensure a clean, neat, organized work area and supervise all the carpenter workshop.
  • The ability to always conduct oneself in a professional manner to reflect the high standards of Four Seasons Hotels.
  • The ability to handle and report any accident immediately, no matter how minor.
  • The ability to maintain a good working relationship with other employees.
  • The ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
  • The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.

Job Description

  • Recording the Daily Utilities readings and make Daily analysis for Utilities consumption.
  • Daily review for Morning / Afternoon Check Lists.
  • Following the Engineering Departmental on job Training Schedule.
  • Following The Engineering Preventive Maintenance Program.
  • The ability to maintain and re-lamp all lamps in the hotel, including socket repair and replacement.
  • The ability to clean all stations in Engineering and maintain a neat and organized department.
  • The ability to respond to all guest complaints regarding the maintenance of their room or public area in a timely manner.
  • The ability to repair and troubleshoot guest room and public area Fan Coil Units.
  • The ability to assist engineers on major shutdowns for repairs.
  • The ability to maintain logs for all work performed while on duty.
  • The ability to take meter readings, record temperatures and pressures in heating and cooling plant.
  • The ability to check all mechanical and electrical rooms.
  • The ability to clean light fixtures and shades.
  • The ability to respond to work orders or room inspection reports submitted by Department Heads.
  • The ability to respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc.
  • Comply with and enforce Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in Empact.
  • The ability to follow proper payroll and uniform procedures.
  • The ability to replace fuses, circuit breakers, starters, etc.
  • The ability to maintain a good working relationship with other employees.
  • Providing instruction and encouragement as needed.
  • The ability to ensure a clean, neat and organized work area.
  • The ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect thehigh standards of Four Seasons Hotels.
  • The ability to handle and report any accident immediately, no matter how minor.
  • The ability to respond properly and professionally in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
  • The ability to report any damages observed within the Resort area, whether it be guestroom, public areas or any employee housing units through the Engineering reporting systems in place. Reporting to be done within one hour of discovery.
  • The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by Engineering management and Planning Committee Members.
