JOB PURPOSE:

This role is responsible for helping to implement and maintain the Sanofi Manufacturing System (SMS) which is a management system based on a LEAN approach at all levels of the organization. It acts as the repository for all systems & data related to performance including labour, process, financial and resource models, industry benchmarks, key performance indicators and scorecards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Manufacturing excellence:

  • Identify non value-added activity and leverage SMS tools to improve the ways of working
  • Perform observations of tasks and processes on the shop floor to identify and evaluate value- added time versus non value-added time
  • Communicate with all levels of the organization to share and verify data collected to ensure buy-in and action needed
  • Synthesize data and prepare presentations (PowerPoint and Excel) that are easily understandable
  • Assist in the establishment of KPIs and performance standards
  • Assist functional teams in identification of improvement opportunities ensuring alignment with site/function strategy
  • Propose initiatives that support the troubleshooting and debottlenecking of process flows related to equipment
  • Act as the driving force in conducting transversal workshops to disseminate the lean expertise methodology (e.g. 5S, GPS, SMED, TPM, VSM/Lean Pull Flows)
  • The ability to work autonomously

Industrial culture:

  • Contribute to the promotion of a performance mind-set and process ownership
  • Support the deployment and maturity of the Sanofi Manufacturing System (SMS) standards to the manufacturing operating units and support functions
  • Provide upskilling and training sessions on the SMS dimensions and lean tools

Performance reporting:

  • Lead the site balanced score card, monthly reporting, performance KPIs & Fit4

KSOL Responsibilities

MAIN OBJECTIVE: Optimize TCO for materials & services purchased in alignment with Procurement/IA GBU strategy with 3 MISSIONS:

Demand Management

  • Review & challenge site specifications for better alignment vs Cluster/IA wild standards
  • Evaluate Sanofi demand vs market & suppliers standard offering
  • Assess and optimize, with Supply-chain, from the demand with volume forecast accuracy to goods reception at Sanofi site
  • Assessment of the total cost of ownership (TCO) vs. the return on that investment in the market

A local representative for sites operations involving our suppliers to drive efficiency

  • Coordination of all the functions required at site (Regulatory, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, MSAT, SMS) to roll out procurement actions.
  • Manage the execution on time of the action plans for all initiatives agreed related to supplier
  • Coordinate E2E QA process in case of suppliers/specifications change
  • Act as a site’s single point of contact for all supplier operational issues (with procurement)
  • Drive supplier collaboration and innovation across operations (with procurement)

Manage/contribute to supplier performance & impact at site

  • Lead weekly/monthly review with key suppliers toward a set of contracted KPI’s (with digital supplier performance scorecard and KPI’s embedded in a contract) in relation with site ‘+QDCI level 3’
  • Lead structured root cause problem solving to identify & implement actions for the problem defined, does not happen again

Risk management: Support Single source risks reduction and drive initiatives related to dual sourcing, etc.

ALL these tasks will have to be performed through strong collaboration with Procurement Category teams, IA Global Business Unit and/or cluster heads, SMS, Finance teams, legal teams, technical teams, etc. operating as a single team focused on a common supplier strategy and site performance.

JOB-HOLDER’s ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • B.Sc. of Pharmaceutical science or engineering

Related Experience:

  • 2-5 years of related industrial experience

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Results based leadership skills with strong impact and influencing skills
  • Change management skills with shop floor orientation
  • Strong analytical skills and process focus to identify where improvements should be targeted using data.
  • Ability to function within a diverse team and leverage and learn from the variety of backgrounds and experiences.
  • Ability to present complex concepts in a coherent and accessible format to senior management
  • Strong proficiency in Power Point and Excel
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Knowledge of LEAN tools and methodologies (desirable)
