Job Description

Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the office four times per week or other frequency dictated by the business and once a week remote.

Your role

Project and Program Management teams are responsible for the flawless launch delivery of the output/product of the program, which will involve managing a portfolio of projects and programs. Coordinate the teams who are working on the various projects.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for ensuring that all business deliverables are identified and accounted for in the SUP project plan with responsibility and due dates cross functionally.
  • Ensure GVDP gates in the execution phases achieved to ensure flawless launches
  • Lead SUP Program Timing Workshops and readiness plans Cross functionally including (Home room, NARMO, Portfolio planning, GMOD, DF young, GM IT Systems, Sales, Marketing, Quality, CCA and Legal) based on each country readiness (COS readiness)
  • Develop an integrated launch plan for all SUP Programs in all released countries with different SORP dates and readiness milestones
  • Ensure homologation is completed on time by the responsible functions and source plants
  • Continuously monitor and report on SUP program execution status.
  • Manage the identification, documentation, and traceability of business requirements based on each program and Country of Sales (COS)
  • Work closely with Programs planner on SUP PET reviews and submit Change request for new SUP markets requests.
  • Work with AMEO focal points to address the CRs combined as one voice from AMEO region
  • Developing tracking scorecards and metrics to illustrate status and ownership.
  • Developing milestone reviews for the key milestones and ensures the team is on track to deliver for each SUP Program.
  • Lead development and approval of Program Charter and Contract Approval per GPDP requirements for different programs in each country cross-functionally
  • Track business resources and identify any shortages based on project plans
  • Assist Workstream Leaders in managing multiple efforts simultaneously across a broad range of functions, business and organizational units.
  • Monitor project progress and consolidate status reports.
  • Gain an understanding of program workstreams/projects to be able to assist in identification of issues and risks.
  • Compile and communicate cross-functional program status
  • Coordinate the input and approval of various project design and decision documents.
  • Provide guidance and support during execution of change management activities.
  • Align cross-functional business and technical teams to help ensure alignment of goals and to help resolve conflicting priorities.
  • Prepare presentations for various levels of leadership.

Your Skills & Abilities

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of automotive experience
  • Program/Project management Skills or Experience
  • Working level knowledge / experience in GVDP/GPDP and product launches
  • High level of independent judgment and analytical ability to solve unique problems
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
  • Effective at dealing with ambiguity and change
  • Ability to maintain effectiveness in fast-paced, changing environment
  • Fast Learning and adaptability in ambiguous environment


Preferred Qualifications:

  • People Leader experience
  • Experience in one or more functional areas: Manufacturing, Planning, Purchasing, Product Engineering, Supply Chain
  • Product, customer and market knowledge
  • Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area
  • Advanced degree in Business or Engineering
