About The Role
This position is open for both Cairo residents and Suez residents and you will report to our site in Ain Sokhna.
The HSE Supervisor is responsible for managing HSE related activities within Ain Sokhna Area, ensuring that HSE standards are maintained, improving safety standards in and helping develop safety culture & ensure implantation of best HSE practices and enforces adherence to laws and regulations governing the environment and the health & safety of individuals at work places.
The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist local management with the implementation and monitoring of the HSE program and objectives.
- Evaluates HSE non-conformities related to Group documents, procedures technical standards or local regulations with facilities management
- Assists the local management of entities in the implementation of the HSE policy and the realisation of the annual HSE action plan:
- opinions for the definition of priorities and proposals to establish, implement and adjust local action plans
- advice and support for carrying out actions
- monitoring and reporting indicators
- Assist operations with internal and external audits and the development of action plans
Ensure HSE risk identification within his area, and that control measures are in place
- Assists local management in identifying hazards, issuing opinions on the results of "risk identifications and assessments""
- Issues opinions on the organisation of the workplace, the workstation, on environmental factors and dangerous materials, work tools and collective and individual protective equipment, and issues opinions for the drafting of procedures and relevant instructions.
- Assists local management in planning workstation safety inspections and BSV (behavioural safety visits) and participates regularly.
- Assist local management with internal and external audits and the development of action plans
- Ensures ownership and monitoring by local SHE program management.
Accident / Incidents Investigation
- Participates in the analysis of each accident (NLT or LT) within his area
- Assists and issues an opinion to local management for the analyses of PSSE (potentially serious Safety Events) and guarantees the quality of the analysis and reporting.
- Provide professional support and advice to the Area Operations Management and Staff on Occupational Safety, Health and Environment matters.
- Ensures that corrective and preventive actions are taken after each incident or accident
- Assists in the formulation of emergency preparedness procedures.
- Ensure Quality, HSE and Industrial Risk Internal Audits are conducted properly and in a timely manner within his area.
HSE Data and Reporting Analysis
- Collecting HSE-related data from various Facilities within the organisation, such as incident reports, near miss, unsafe conditions, BSV, Emergency drills and sites & facilities routine reporting, safety audits, inspection.
- Reviewing and validating the collected data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Analysing HSE data to identify trends, patterns, and potential areas of improvement.
- Developing key performance indicators (KPIs), and using data visualisation techniques to present findings.
- Monitoring HSE performance indicators and tracking progress towards established goals and targets.
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in HSE performance based on data analysis and reporting.
Planning and Implementation of Yearly Campaigns and Facilities' Activities
- Developing an annual HSE campaign plan that aligns with the organisation's overall HSE objectives and targets.
- Executing the planned HSE campaigns by designing and implementing various activities and initiatives.
- Developing communication materials, such as posters, brochures, newsletters, and digital content, to promote HSE campaigns and activities.
- Organising and conducting HSE training sessions and workshops for employees, contractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Conducting risk assessments of facilities, processes, and activities (Such as: Shutdowns, Maintenance Activities, Upgrade Projects, etc.) to identify potential hazards and risks.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of HSE campaigns, activities, and their outcomes.
About You
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, technical safety, industrial hygiene, Chemical Science or equivalent. Additional professional qualification(s) in the Health and Safety domain is a plus.
3 to 5 years of experience working in Manufacturing or Industrial Operations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as the position requires working with different teams and departments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify patterns and trends in data and offer solutions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively
OSHA Certificate or equivalent
Root cause analysis experience
Safety Management tool (risk analysis, Incident analysis..)
Technical understanding of gas safety and risks is a plus
