Role Purpose


Support in the delivery of operational activities for Sandstorm Comics in line with best practices and in line with the overall defined objectives and requirements. Provide support in ensuring smooth and efficient operations of Comics function, liaising with relevant key stakeholders to optimize processes, manage resources, and contribute to the overall success of the comic projects.


 


Key Responsibilities


Operations Management




  • Supporting in maintaining relationships with project champions, internal and external stakeholders to define budgets, resources and comic projects needs and requirements.

  • Assist in the execution and delivery of projects, ensuring that all projects are linked to the section and to DCT’s strategic objectives.

  • Support in all activities and operations of Sandstorm in close collaboration with relevant internal and external stakeholders/vendors/contractors, ensuring their alignment with DCT’s standards and requirements.

  • Support in the management of the operational budget and other specified budgets, ensuring they are allocated efficiently and in line with projects’ requirements and demands.

  • Provide the necessary support in the negotiations and contracts for Sandstorm Comics in order to ensure alignment with defined timelines, obligations and expectations.

  • Review reports and ensure addressing key highlights and insights related to Sandstorm Comics operational plans, as required.

  • Develop drafts of processes documentation, flowcharts, and standard in-line with the desired objectives on the department.

  • Coordinate with the Procurement team on all matters related to purchase requisitions and purchase orders, and ensuring that the procurement demand plan is implemented in a manner conducive to the Unit’s needs and objectives.

  • Ensure all matters related to invoice processing with the Finance department, including the collection of required supporting documents and approvals.

  • Carry out any other duties and responsibilities related to the role at the request of the direct manager.

  • Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

  • Take an active role in the EHS initiative and adhere to the DCT Occupational Safety and Health policy, regulations, and laws, and provide help to the Corporate EHS in executing the OSHMS.Report any incidents, near misses, occupational illnesses, unsafe practices, and conditions immediately to the concerned person and participate in the investigation of OSH incidents, as required.



 


 


Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent field


 


Experience


At least 2  years of experience in operations and administrative field or in designing & delivering operational plans. Having a previous experience within creative industry or similar fields would be an advantage.

  • Full professional English proficiency both in speaking and writing.

  • Skilled in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel).

  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and information.

  • Proficiency in documenting business requirements using industry-standard techniques and tools.
