Accounts Payable Accountant

A global technology solutions provider is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join their team in Egypt as part of our shared service model. This role is pivotal in overseeing vendor reconciliation processes and ensuring accuracy in accounts payable transactions. The ideal candidate must have a strong technical accounting background, particularly in GL accounting, and will be instrumental in challenging and optimizing their shared service operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct vendor reconciliations to ensure accounts are balanced and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
• Verify and approve invoices for payment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or disputes related to invoices or payments.
• Collaborate closely with the shared service team to maintain consistency and accuracy in AP processes.
• Provide expertise in AP operations, contributing insights to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with technical accounting standards and practices, particularly in GL accounting functions.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address concerns and provide timely resolutions.
  
  

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience (10-12 years) in Accounts Payable management or similar roles.
• Strong technical accounting skills with a focus on General Ledger (GL) functions.
• Experience working in a shared service environment is highly desirable.
• Ability to challenge existing processes and drive improvements in a collaborative manner.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders across different locations.
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software and ERP systems.
