Utilities/ Electrical Engineer

Position Summary

Our Utilities/ Electrical Engineer is responsible for overseeing and implementing electrical preventive maintenance activities to ensure optimal production line efficiency and productivity. This role provides technical support in areas such as Electrical Motors, PLC programming, and Classic Control Panels, and manages the stock of electrical spare parts. The supervisor leads projects aimed at cost reduction and quality improvement, ensures compliance with annual service contracts for key equipment, and develops standard operating procedures for electrical tasks. Additionally, the role involves troubleshooting complex issues, guiding the electrical team, and providing on-the-job training to enhance team performance and standardize work processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute electrical preventive maintenance activities.
• Provide troubleshooting and problem-solving support to the electrical team.
• Manage and monitor stock of electrical spare parts.
• Offer technical support for Electrical Motors, PLC programming, and Classic Control Panels.
• Develop solutions to improve production line efficiency and productivity.
• Oversee annual service contracts for equipment like forklifts, diesel generators, ink jets, and air compressors.
• Lead projects focused on cost reduction or quality improvement, supporting operations to meet SQCD standards.
• Assist engineers and technical staff with complex, non-routine problems.
• Guide and support hourly workers in resolving electrical issues.
• Develop standard operating procedures for electrical activities.
• Conduct coaching and on-the-job training for team members.

What we are looking for

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering degree from a reputable university.

Experience within utilities- preferably air compressors.

Total years of experience from 2-4 years.

Alexandria resident is preferred.

Can communicate in English in a professional way
