The Role The Assistant Marketing Manager will be a key member of Marketing Department and will be an all rounder when it comes to strategising, planning and insights. You will support in leading functions within the team as well as collaborative working with faculty and other professional services departments.

Audience segmentation and defining is key for us to be able to target and convert in the most efficient way, resulting in us seeking candidates with significant experience of using marketing data from multiple sources including CRM, to capitalize on market opportunities and evaluate campaign performance.

We are looking for someone with a track record in assisting to lead a team of professionals, as well as being driven by student recruitment targets and KPI’s. You will need to be proactive and introduce innovative ideas.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Assist the Marketing Manager in planning and supervising the marketing department operations and team.
  • Participate in planning and implementing marketing strategies.
  • Marketing team guidance and support, holding weekly meetings with the team
  • Manage conversion activity and planning.
  • Be the main liaison point between student recruitment and marketing for campaign implementation.
  • Manage the lead nurturing and conversion process
  • Responsible for the department weekly performance reports, incorporating all inputs from channel reporting.
  • Analyse sales data with the Student Recruitment Team, identifying gaps in the marketing activity to boost recruitment.
  • Lead on weekly performance meetings, advising on where campaign enhancements and adjustments should be made.
  • Support in the management of the Schools and Corporate Outreach and Development Projects.
  • Drive the communications strategy, working closely and supporting the team as required.
  • Manage the briefing of campaigns with the design team, reviewing progress and outputs
  • Assist in conceptualising marketing collateral and promotional material development with the design and content team.
  • Recommend creative and cost-effective promotion activities.
  • Manage the media agency relationships to optimize our efforts across offline advertising channels.
  • Manage the CRM account working closely with the agency to ensure we maximise the use of Hubspot and see continued ROI performance.
  • Be innovative and drive enthusiasm across the team and keep updated on latest marketing trends and competitor activities.
  • Management of Alumni Relations Outreach and Development, utilizing the wider team to assist in all activities.
  • Manage the Student Intern Initiative, including recruitment, onboarding, and training.
  • Lead on the customer relationship programme and track student and customer satisfaction.
  • Keep updated on the marketing trends and competitor activities.
  • Researching and identifying new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets.
  • Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives to develop and improve the business.
  • Generate new ideas to engage new audiences and keep up to date with marketing developments.
  • Ensure compliance with law around copyright and data protection.

RequirementsPost Holder Requirements The successful candidate will hold:

  • Proven track record of working within a marketing department as an Assistant Marketing Manager/Marketing Professional.
  • Experience is successful campaign planning and execution
  • Experience in managing a team or staff or students
  • A motivated self-starter with a proven ability to effectively collaborate and deliver
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • A good understanding of systems usage [CRM, Leads, Database Management]
  • Good understanding of marketing strategies and application
  • A strong performance measurement and monitoring background
  • Honours degree or higher degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant field.
