Job Title: Primary Department Coordinator

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly accomplished Primary Department Coordinator to lead our client's primary education. This role, based in Abu Dhabi, offers an opportunity to significantly contribute to the academic and holistic development of our clients' young students.

Responsibilities

Curriculum Leadership:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive primary education curriculum.
  • Ensure the curriculum is engaging, innovative, and tailored to the diverse learning needs of our client's students.
  • Foster a culture of intellectual curiosity and critical thinking among students through dynamic and engaging lessons.

Department Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and support primary teachers to achieve school objectives in teaching practices.
  • Coordinate departmental meetings and professional development initiatives.
  • Oversee the organisation and maintenance of classroom resources and materials.

Assessment And Progress Monitoring

  • Formulate and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students, parents, and teachers on academic performance, facilitating student improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of student grades and attendance with attention to detail.

Communication And Collaboration

  • Foster transparent and effective communication channels with students, parents, and colleagues to maintain a supportive learning environement.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with fellow educators and staff to ensure a cohesive and enriching educational experience.
  • Act as a liaison between the primary teachers and the school administration.

Professional Development

  • Take part in professional growth through participation in relevant training, workshops, and educational forums if necessary.
  • Encourage and facilitate professional development opportunities for department staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; Candidates holding a master's degree in education or educational leadership desirable.
  • Teaching certification, ideally specialising in primary education.
  • Extensive teaching experience within a primary school setting.
  • Proven leadership experience in an educational setting.
  • Classroom management skills and the ability to foster positive student-teacher dynamics.
  • Genuine passion for education and a commitment to nurturing the holistic development of students.
  • Proficiency in educational technology tools and a willingness to integrate them into the teaching-learning process.
