Welding Foreman

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welding Foreman to join our team. As a Welding Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the production and quality of welding projects. You will lead a team of welders and ensure that all welding work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations and project specifications. This is a hands-on role, requiring strong technical skills as well as leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise a team of welders, providing guidance and support as needed
• Ensure that welding projects are completed on time and within budget
• Inspect and assess welding work for quality and conformance to specifications
• Develop and maintain welding schedules, assigning tasks to team members
• Train and mentor new welders, ensuring that they understand and follow safety procedures
• Troubleshoot welding equipment and recommend repairs or replacements when necessary
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to determine welding requirements and specifications
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in welding, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Proficient in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding
• In-depth knowledge of welding codes and standards
• Strong understanding of welding equipment and tools
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
• Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on quality and safety
• Valid welding certifications (e.g., AWS) are preferred, but not required
