Indoor and Outdoor Plants Landscaping Supervisor - Tamil
The company provides free shared bachelor accommodation and transportation.
Job Purpose
- To manage the overall plant maintenance of the greenhouse.
- To supervise, direct, train and motivate the plants maintenance team to prevent plants from any kind of damage.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Greenhouse Maintenance: Supervise and allocate duties to staffs working in Plants maintenance for existing and new plantation work, maintenance work and delivery. Staff attendance and leave management.
- Ensure overall plant health and soil nutrition, implement sustainable and good agricultural practices with pest management in the outdoor and indoor gardens and landscape.
- Follow up day-to-day maintenance activities and resolve issues if any.
- Control the plant damages and wastage percentage.
- To research new pesticides and fungicides and make prevention plan.
- Propagation of plants under green house condition. Ensure heating and cooling of greenhouses, irrigation systems and maintenance of horticultural equipment.
- Conduct horticultural trials under various conditions using various treatments. Give proposal to buy more plants if the result is positive.
- Periodically monitor the RO water and irrigation water EC and PH.
- Periodically monitor the height of palm plants to upgrade the size and price.
- Periodically monitor the water level in the tank to ensure full water all the times.
- Periodically monitor the gutters and shading material on top of the green house.
- Periodically change the distilled water in the wet and dry bulb thermometer.
- Periodically purchase the tools and equipments related to plants, pesticides, fungicides and fertilizers.
- Client Visit: Visit clients as scheduled, solve issues / complaints if any related to plant maintenance, collect feedback and make the report for the same.
- Keep up to date the status of maintenance contract.
- Payments follow up: Follow up on outstanding payment during direct visit.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsibilities include staffing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Perform other duties as and when needed.
