As a Procurement Specialist for Direct Material, your role involves controlling the prices of local vehicle parts through detailed cost analysis to identify cost elements and confirm any price changes. You are responsible for planning and executing cost reduction opportunities for local parts, as well as sourcing plans for both local and imported parts. This includes managing sourcing activities, collecting quotations, and conducting feasibility studies for vehicle parts to achieve cost reduction targets and increase localization ratios.
Main responsibilities:
- Review the cost elements of local parts (components, Logistics, FX rate & supplier added value).
- Confirm with local suppliers the variable local parts cost elements.
- Issue Monthly pricing report by calculate local parts cost and send to "Local Parts Control" department to issue Purchasing orders to local suppliers.
- Negotiate local suppliers for any price change by revising cost breakdown in order to evaluate the price change refer the business plan.
- Update the monthly analysis of the periodical Department Reports. (TdC reduction, Budget plan, Monthly report,..)
- Issue LOI/ RFQ (Letter of Intent / Request for Quotation) to local/foreign suppliers and collect, analyze and approve the quotations to calculate the feasibility for the candidate localized/resourced parts.
- Manage all Local/Imported parts' Contracts with suppliers (local/foreign), manage the TAA (technical assistant agreement) and VT (vendor tooling) contracts.
- Settles Target cost for candidate localized parts through LPP sheet "Local proposal plan" to achieve part feasible condition.
- Validate New local price with local suppliers and original suppliers through the regional purchasing representative to achieve the target price for the feasible part for New projects
- Confirm the feasibility study of project by using standard formulas and values LPP sheet in order to submit and function reply/sales monitor.
- Resource as a part of strategy, regulations or cost reduction satisfactions for the following branches to achieve our cost reduction targets:
- Local Parts b) Foreign part C) Subsidiary Parts d) Raw Materials
Qualifications and relevant experience:
- Bachelor degree preferred in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or relevant
- 1-3 years of experience
- Good knowledge of procurement process, cost estimation techniques, cost Analysis
