Organisation Profile

GroupM is the parent company to WPP’s media agencies including MindShare, EssenceMediacom, Wavemaker, Xaxis and Keyade. Our primary purpose is to maximize the performance of the agencies on behalf of our clients, our shareholders, and our people by operating as a parent and collaborator in performance-enhancing activities such as trading, content creation, sports, digital, finance, talent, proprietary tool development and other business-critical capabilities. The agencies that comprise GroupM are all global operations with leading market positions.

Shared Services Centre (SSC)

GroupM MENA have decided in 2018 to establish an independent Unit to create a centre of excellence. The Unit has clearly defined objectives, and procedures. It is independent from the agencies and report directly to GroupM MENA. The initial areas that SSC will be responsible for are Accounting, Purchase Ledger, Treasury, Taxes, Media Operations, Billings, Credit Control, Payroll, Statutory Reporting, Compliancy, later WPP has decided to offshore the Finance Hub to Finance Plus India, the SSC global arm of WPP and all functions are now offshored to India except for the media operations function.

You will be responsible for supporting with Social and Paid Search campaign management. You will be participating in the strategy, planning, implementation, and reporting of across the agency’s accounts. You will provide support to the extended local performance and ad operations team working to develop the operational capabilities within the agency.

Job brief

We are looking for a Media Assistant to provide support to our media operations. You’ll track advertising Campaigns from start to finish to ensure efficiency and accurate record-keeping.

In this role, you should be well-organized with strong research skills and an eye for detail. If you’re also familiar with media-buying and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Learn our finance billing and acceptance processes and understand the relevant documentation that needs to be obtained and who should provide it.
  • Receive training on how to use the finance billing system to enter media bookings correctly.
  • Help media buyers and planners develop, execute, and monitor media plans.
  • Create and monitor media schedules.
  • Ensure billing procedures run smoothly.
  • Conduct research to collect useful media data.
  • Resolve issues and help build strong relationships with media outlets.
  • Take on operation tasks as assigned by the finance team.

Requirements And Skills

  • Proven experience as a Media Assistant (preferred).
  • Experience in digital advertising is a plus.
  • Familiarity with media planning and buying (preferred).
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Good research skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines under minimal supervision.
  • BSc degree is a must, with good command of business English.
