Job Purpose

This role will be responsible for monitoring, implementing and certifying regulatory HR compliance policies, practices and procedures. S/he will provide compliance advice and verify any deficiencies or gaps are updated. The role holder will regularly perform internal audits and spot check’s on a wide variety of employment and benefits related systems to ensure consistency and data requirements are being followed appropriately. S/he will develop reports to comply with regulatory requirements.


Job Responsibilities

  • Leads all internal HR audits and other compliance related audits including collect and evaluate samples, ensuring HR practices meet acceptable quality and integrity standards;
  • Audit and track corrective actions to ensure accuracy of all Group HR Department data;
  • Design and implement quality initiatives to raise awareness of staff and encourage participation and cooperation including analyzing and studying the feasibility of implementation thereafter;
  • Serves as Project Manager, partnering with applicable teams to create and implement new and revised processes and system enhancements to ensure compliance with statutory laws;
  • Assesses gaps and opportunities for improvement of policies and processes relating to HR compliance and recommend practical solutions;
  • Identifies, tracks laws and regulations that might affect the organization’s policies, practices, and procedures;
  • Review and assess all customer satisfaction reports of the HR department and assess potential gaps in the HR operating standards;
  • Handle all customer’s complaints pertaining HR services;
  • Assess, review and record employees’ grievances after the business support recommendations;
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees in an effort to manage risk and regulatory compliance;
  • Ensures mandatory trainings/induction are updated and completed for new hires and existing employees;
  • Ensures all personnel records are maintained as per requirements;
  • Conduct and participate in proactive monitoring of internal policies to identify trends and patterns and ensure compliance. Assess and implement recommendations for corrective action
  • Researches and stays abreast of current developments, amendments, and interpretational changes in laws affecting human resources and employer/employee relations; assists in the development and delivery of formal and informal trainings to educate staff accordingly; makes recommendations for changes to policies and procedures to ensure compliance with new developments;
  • Partners with HRIS, coordinates the HR Audit process for all audits, review contracts for HR compliance, responds immediately to all audit findings, ensures new processes and policies are implemented to ensure future HR compliance with contracts and grants;
  • Analyses and interprets trends in data to recommend opportunities that would improve compliance;
  • Maintains and provides high- data driven reports with trend analysis and evaluation for recommendations on potential risk mitigation;
  • Liaise with ISO certification body and ensuring the department complies with the ISO standards and requirements. Direct the ISO internal audit program to ensure compliance


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or Quality Management or Business Administration.


Experience

  • 4+ years’ experience in HR Compliance
  • Experience in HR Generalist, Employee Relations or a related role
  • Experience in ISO certification
