Position: Electrical Technician - Diesel Generator Specialist

Location: UAE

Reports To: Technical Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician with extensive experience in diesel generator troubleshooting and synchronization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of diesel generators, as well as ensuring their efficient and synchronized operation. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, diesel engine mechanics, and control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with diesel generators, including engine, electrical, and control system problems.
• Repair or replace faulty components
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to assess generator performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Install, test, and commission diesel generators and associated control systems.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on diesel generators to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
• Have good understanding of synchronization of multiple diesel generators.
• Possess good understanding of Different Controllers and
• Implement and maintain automatic transfer switch (ATS) systems for seamless power transition.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other electricians and maintenance staff.
• Train and mentor junior electricians on diesel generator systems, troubleshooting techniques, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement improvements in generator performance and reliability.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Prepare detailed reports on generator performance, issues identified, and corrective actions taken.
• Keep inventory of spare parts and tools required for diesel generator maintenance and repair.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in electrical systems preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with diesel generators, including troubleshooting and synchronization

• Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various conditions, including outdoor environments and confined spaces; and ready to travel to other countries frequently.
