Job Purpose
The Senior Fixed Assets & General Ledger is responsible for Managing the fixed assets process as well as managing and overseeing all aspects of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Qualifications & Education
- Strong systems’ knowledge of SAP is a plus.
- Previous experience in retail operations is a plus.
- Good in English
- Experience of working in a multicultural teams and environment.
- Strong Excel skills is required.
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 year of experience in accounting mainly in Fixed assets and General Ledger.
- Experience in Retail industry is a plus.
Technical Skills
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the fixed asset process, including acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, and disposal.
- Maintain the fixed asset ledger and ensure accurate classification and recording of assets.
- Conduct regular physical inventories of fixed assets and reconcile discrepancies.
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing and reviewing journal entries & account reconciliations.
- Handle monthly accruals and prepayments.
- Oversee and perform intercompany reconciliation processes to ensure all intercompany transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Develop and implement procedures to streamline intercompany reconciliation processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure timely asset tracking, intercompany transactions & assigned financial projects.
- Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and respond to auditor inquiries.
