SearchPlus HR, a reputable human resources consulting firm, is currently looking for a skilled and dedicated Specialist Consultant Gastrointestinal Surgeon to join our team. As a Specialist Consultant Gastrointestinal Surgeon, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating conditions and diseases related to the gastrointestinal tract, including the esophagus, stomach, liver, pancreas, and intestines.
In this role, you will evaluate patients, order and interpret diagnostic tests, perform gastrointestinal surgeries, and provide post-operative care. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals will be crucial to ensure the best outcomes for patients. Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements and research in gastrointestinal surgery is essential to provide the highest standard of care.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' medical history, symptoms, and perform physical examinations
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as endoscopies, imaging scans, and biopsies
- Diagnose and treat conditions of the gastrointestinal tract, including cancer, ulcers, and digestive disorders
- Perform gastrointestinal surgeries, such as gastric bypass, liver resection, and colorectal procedures
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and treatments for pre and post-operative care
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans
- Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment options, and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
- Stay updated on the latest advancements and research in gastrointestinal surgery

- Medical degree and valid license to practice as a Specialist Consultant Gastrointestinal Surgeon
- Completion of a recognized residency program in gastrointestinal surgery
- Proven experience in performing various gastrointestinal surgeries
- Expertise in diagnosing and treating conditions of the gastrointestinal tract
- Proficiency in utilizing advanced surgical techniques and technologies in gastrointestinal surgery
