JOB DESCRIPTION

Major duties and Responsibilities

Function 1 (incl. Expected results)

Serves as a focal point for marketing activities in the MID Regional Office, achieving results such as:

  • To Promote ICAO products and services to the region including but not limited to: Events, Publications, Data and Licensing, Advertising and the ICAO Online Store.
  • Assist in the solicitation and recruitment of new ICAO Publications resellers in the MID region.
  • Provide coordination, administrative and specialized services, to support staff in the development, preparation and execution of communications campaigns for target audiences.
  • Provide input for the development of an ICAO MID region marketing plan.
  • Identify opportunities when possible for new generating products and services.


Function 2 (incl. Expected results)

Provides technical and administrative support to GAT Section operations with regard to training activities, achieving results such as:

  • Ensure that invoices for registration fees are issued and sent to participants and follow up with them and Finance Branch (FIN) for payment.
  • Prepare financial reports identifying normal operations and issues to be addressed by GAT Management.
  • Generate statistical reports in Excel addressing the status of various courses and prepare technical reports identifying issues to be addressed by GAT Management.
  • Analyse participants’ feedback, coordinate actions required with those concerned and provide regular reports to GAT Quality Manager.


Function 3 (incl. Expected results)

Assists in the MID Regional Office with promotion activities, achieving results such as:

  • Using ICAO Customer Relationship Management software (CRM), increase number of contacts in the region by coordinating opt-in programmes to build and enhance customer promotional databases.
  • Under clear guidance, prepare content for traditional and social media platforms and networks, and printed materials, to enhance coverage and support of organisation’s activities, ensuring consistency with corporate messages and standards.
  • Establish a schedule of promotions, through the various communication channels.
  • Assist with visualizations and updating information material such as web pages or brochures.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of campaigns by keeping track of basic promotional statistics such as click through rates, response, and Twitter followers.


Function 4 (incl. Expected results)

Creates a Monthly MID Regional Office status report; achieving results such as:

  • Communicate with colleagues the progress on MID Regional Office initiatives for lessons learned and tracking progress;
  • Update a simplified dashboard of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the MID Regional Office;


Function 5 (incl. Expected results)

Provides proactive support to ICAO staff to develop and improve effective marketing processes, achieving results such as:

  • Identify process improvement opportunities in dealing with customers.
  • Provide feedback on MID Regional Office customers and their needs.
  • Promote the benefits of marketing to ICAO in support of the Strategic Objectives.

Qualifications And Experience

Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Education

Essential

Completion of secondary level education.

Desirable

Additional professional training in Business, Marketing, and Product Management, office automation or related field.

Professional experience

  • Essential
  • A minimum of five (5) years in a sales and marketing environment.
  • Experience marketing and communication.
  • Experience in a trade show environment.


Desirable

  • Experience in a business setting.
  • Experience Microsoft Office and Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
  • Experience E-Commerce marketing and online store, and photoshop.


Languages

Essential

Fluent reading, writing and speaking abilities in English and Arabic.

Desirable

Knowledge of any other language of the Organization (Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish)

Conditions of Employment

Please note that this is a locally-recruited position and restricted to Egyptian Citizens, Permanent Residents of Egypt and applicants with a work permit.

It should be noted that this post is to be filled on a fixed-term basis for an initial period of Three (3) years (first year is probationary for an external candidate).

ICAO staff members are international civil servants subject to the authority of the Secretary General and may be assigned to any activities or offices of the Organization within the duty station.

ICAO staff members are expected to conduct themselves in a manner befitting their status as international civil servants. In this connection, ICAO has incorporated the 2013 Standards of Conduct for the International Civil Service into the ICAO Personnel Instructions.

The statutory retirement age for staff entering or re-entering service after 1 January 2014 is 65. For external applicants, only those who are expected to complete a term of appointment will normally be considered.

Remuneration:

Net Base Salary per annum: USD 15,706

Level: G-5
