Offshore Product Owner _VOIS

Role purpose:

Offshore Product owner is an entry level role and a great way to break into product. Working in an assistant-like position with other Product Owners, an APO is given a variety of smaller tasks to assist with product development.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally and as the primary contact for queries related to the product
• Develop scope and define backlog items (epics/features/user stories) that guide the agile software development team
• Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies
• Provide vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders
• Should be able to identify user needs, help a customer understand a business value and work with cross-functional teams to manage product releases
• Drive the business requirements with the business stakeholders into a product backlog
• Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritized backlog of user stories that are ready for implementation
• Document business requirements, functional and non-functional specifications to aid in the development of new business products, solutions, or processes
• Knows how to take an original idea from concept to an actual product
• Works very closely with developers, UX designers and capable to influence them
• Works towards an outcome defined goal and product value with agile teams
• Solve product-related problems, make decisions, complete trade-off analysis to stay on track towards business deliverable commitments

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

• Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience (2-6 years of experience)
• Previous experience as a product owner is not a must
