Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed mechanical designs for substation components and underground cable systems.
Create and review technical drawings, specifications, and plans.
Ensure designs meet all relevant safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Perform load calculations and stress analysis for mechanical components.
Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and stakeholders.
Prepare project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to meet deadlines.
Oversee the installation of mechanical systems in substations and underground cable routes.
Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
Provide technical support during construction and address any issues that arise.
Implement quality control procedures to ensure high standards in all mechanical engineering tasks.
Ensure compliance with local, national, and international codes and regulations.
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PE, PMP) are a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on substations and underground cable laying.
Proven track record of managing large-scale engineering projects.
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems used in electrical substations and underground cable installations.
Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., IEEE, IEC).
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
