Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for engineering and construction projects.
- Prepare detailed electrical designs, drawings, and specifications using CAD and other design software.
- Perform electrical load calculations, system analyses, and feasibility studies to ensure optimal design solutions.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
- Review and approve electrical designs, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
- Conduct site assessments and inspections to ensure electrical systems are installed and functioning as designed.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design team members.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering.
- Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and project documentation to clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering within the engineering and construction industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other electrical design tools.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Experience with sustainable design practices and LEED certification
