Manager, Commercial Parts

Job Overview

UD Trucks is known for our pioneering technologies and products within the commercial automotive industry.

  • Assist to achieve the established parts sales targets for full MEENA cluster as defined in the agreed business plans.
  • Support in the process of ensuring high quality of genuine Spare Parts availability- according to the UD Trucks instruction and strategy – at both Support Warehouse and Importer level.

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to evaluate the parts department's performance and identify opportunities for sales growth.
  • Secure monthly forecasts and market intelligence through consistent communication with dealers
  • Analyze vehicle population and parts penetration targets to identify potential areas for parts sales expansion.
  • Support dealers in developing recommended parts lists for both current and new truck models.
  • Collate missing information from headquarters to establish new parts pricing, taking into account of different costs and suggested retail price.
  • Execute dealer marketing campaigns in line with the agreed business plan and assess their effectiveness.
  • Monitor stock levels, anticipate demand, and collaborate with the SPOL team to manage inventory replenishment.
  • Collaborate with U&SS team members and stakeholders to efficiently meet customer needs.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations detailing parts performance, market dynamics, and growth opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the SPOL team to address back-ordered parts, offering alternative solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Drive optimal parts availability at UD Warehouse and dealerships to meet customer demands in collaboration with SPOL team.
  • Ensure readiness for new market entry concerning MRC (market release criteria), training and logistics setup.
  • Collate and provide weekly sales reports to support importers and other stakeholders as required.
  • Attend the monthly service sales meeting, provide feedback on KPI and challenge the dealers.
  • Cultivate a customer-centric ethos within the parts department, prioritizing responsiveness, accuracy, and professionalism in customer interactions.

  • Feedback from colleagues, customers and importers / dealer.

Knowledge & Skills Required

Knowledge

  • Trucks technical knowledge – understanding of Service Sales or Service contracts considered as an asset.
  • Passion for & knowledge of about trucks, Parts Sales & Inventory Management.
  • Good understanding of the Middle east and Africa business environment.

Skills

  • Fluent in Arabic and English language - Other languages are considered as an asset.
  • Fully proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Networking skills (internal and external).
  • Presentation skills.
  • Adaptability to different environments and audiences.
  • Flexibility to travel within the MEENA region

Minimum Qualifications

Qualification

Diploma in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering

Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of commercial vehicles (or similar)

Experience working in regional office
